Sunflower Burst is a highly textured interpretation of an oversized sunflower, created through individually worked layers of yellow, ochre and cream.
Hundreds of raised petal-like strokes build outward from the dark centre, creating pronounced movement and a sculptural surface. Because of the amount of hand-applied texture involved, each version carries natural variation in the shape and placement of its petals.
